The brief
We were approached by DPD care of Caroline Collet PR, to re-fresh their web presence. They were keen to establish an online presence which was more representative of who the company is and exhibit their aspirations for the future. The client requested a move away from the typical white and black and sterile look of architect websites so commonly found in the industry.
Our thinking
We designed a website that took inspiration from DPD’s architectural style by injecting their character and colouring into the look and feel. We looked at colouring representative of the area that they are based in the South of France, and also from the playfulness of David Hockney’s Miami painting series, loved by the company's director. The hexagon shapes featured throughout the design are representative of structure and form, which in turn features glimpses and textures of the practices’ work - this all pulls together to make one coherent piece.
Delivering results
We re-designed and programmed a responsive website using the Squarespace platform for DPD, and have since worked on printed advertising, business cards and a printed brochure taking inspiration from the website design that the client loves, whilst ensuring brand consistency across all their touch points.
